WHAT WE'LL BE DOING A group of 6-10 of us will gather approximately 4-6 times over the course of 8 weeks (9/3-10/29). It isn’t a big commitment and it isn’t very long, but we’re hoping each of you will be connected to one. These gatherings are set-up to aid us in getting to know each other and begin a dialogue centered around the preaching and the Bible. WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT? As you read through this, you might be asking why this is so important? Well, I’m glad you ask. The gatherings offer great opportunity to gather around a table and enjoy each other’s company, but of even greater benefit is the intersection of Word and our lives. Our hope is the development of meaningful relationships. Let me quote one of my favorite authors about these relationships. Larry Crabb, author and counselor writes, “Without a community where we know, explore, discover and touch one another, we experience isolation and despair that drive us in wrong directions, that corrupt our efforts to live meaningfully and love well.” Community is what we were created for. Community is about how we belong to each other as Christ’s followers. I pray that you would make every effort to grow deeper in our relationships with God and with one another this Fall season.
